Remove the password from a PDF
Tired of typing the password every time you open a statement or an invoice? If you know it, ToGoOven saves a copy without it. It also removes the locks on printing or copying text.
Free, no sign-up and no watermark. It opens in your browser.
What it does
Remove the password (if you know it) or the restrictions of a PDF.
How to use it
- Open “Unlock PDF” and pick the file.
- Type the password, if the PDF asks for one to open.
- Tap “Unlock PDF” and download the unprotected copy.
Your files never leave your device
ToGoOven runs “Unlock PDF” in your browser, with code that runs on your device. The file is not uploaded to any server: nobody else sees it and it is not stored in someone else’s cloud.
If your device is slow or the file is very large, Premium lets you choose the ToGoOven server instead: only when you ask, with your permission for each job, and the file is deleted when it is done.
Frequently asked questions
Can it open a PDF if I do not know the password?
No. ToGoOven removes the password only when you type it; it does not try to guess it.
Is my password sent anywhere?
No. It is used on your device to open the file and is not stored.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No, unless you ask. “Unlock PDF” runs in your browser; with Premium you can pick the ToGoOven server for a heavy file, which asks for your permission before sending it and deletes it when done.
Is it free?
Yes, and with no watermark. The free plan shows ads, kept apart and unable to see your files. Premium removes the ads, works offline and accepts larger files.
Does it work without internet?
With Premium, yes: the tools keep working offline. On the free plan you need a connection to open the app, although the file is still processed on your device.
